Dr. Chelsea Murphy and her team at Friendship Heights Orthodontics are Certified Top 1% Invisalign® Providers in Washington, DC
Consider Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted, without the inconvenience and discomfort of traditional metal braces. A consultation with Dr. Chelsea Murphy, located in Northwest Washington, DC, can determine if Invisalign treatment is right for you!
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing, which gives you the confidence to smile more during treatment, as well as after! As opposed to uncomfortable impressions, in our office, Invisalign is made with iTero 3D camera computer imaging technology and has been proven effective for teens and adults.
- Invisalign aligners are invisible and removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, and brush and floss with ease.
- Invisalign aligners are comfortable, with no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment.
- Invisalign treatment requires fewer office visits, which means less time spent in our office.
- Invisalign allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start, so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
How does Invisalign work?
You wear each set of aligners for one week with our practice, and remove them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will slowly move until they have straightened to the final positions Dr. Murphy has prescribed.
You’ll visit our office about once every eight-twelve weeks to ensure your treatment is progressing as planned. We work very hard to give you the optimal treatment in the least amount of time. Our average treatment time is 12 to 18 months.
Why choose Friendship Heights Orthodontics for your Invisalign treatment?
It is important to understand it is not Invisalign treating you; it is a doctor prescribing the treatment plan and movements to Invisalign. When considering any type of orthodontic treatment, it is very important to choose an orthodontic specialist with advanced specialty training to provide you with the optimal aesthetics, function, and health.
